A cluttered room being carefully decluttered

Hoarding and declutter sessions

Hoarding and Declutter in Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and London

A bespoke, specialist service — rare across the UK. Weekly, compassionate support for individuals living with hoarding disorder, referred by housing teams, social care and NHS professionals, or arranged privately.

Practical support and professional liaison — planned together from the start

Hoarding & Declutter is the practical work. A trained member of our team visits the client regularly to sort, organise, and gradually reduce clutter at a pace the client is comfortable with.

Case coordination is included in every programme — it is not an optional add-on. What you choose is the level: part coordination suits teams where a social worker is already heading the case and simply needs us to deliver the practical work and feed back regularly. Full coordination is preferred by housing associations, NHS teams, and others who need us to carry statutory oversight — attending MDT meetings, liaising with other agencies, and producing written reports.

Both tiers are priced separately from the declutter sessions, subject to clutter scale and case complexity. We will advise on the right tier when you refer.

What is hoarding disorder?

Hoarding disorder is a recognised mental health condition characterised by persistent difficulty discarding possessions, regardless of their value. It is not laziness or untidiness — it is a complex condition that often requires specialist, compassionate support to address safely.

How our sessions work

01

Initial assessment

We carry out a thorough assessment of the property and the individual's needs, using the Clutter Image Rating scale to establish a baseline and inform the quote.

02

Building trust

Our first visits focus on building a relationship with the client. We never rush — trust is the foundation of everything we do.

03

Working together

Each session is led by the client. We sort, organise and gradually reduce clutter at a pace they are comfortable with, always with their full agreement.

04

Responsible disposal

Items for removal are donated to charity partners wherever possible. All waste is disposed of legally as a registered Environment Agency waste carrier.

05

Progress reporting

We keep referring professionals updated throughout, with written reports available for reviews, legal proceedings or safeguarding records.

Case Coordination tiers

Choose the level of professional liaison that fits your team's capacity and the complexity of the case.

Standard Coordination

Regular written updates to the referring professional, a summary report at the end of the programme, and availability for brief telephone consultations. Suitable for straightforward cases where the referring team has capacity to manage wider agency liaison.

Enhanced Coordination

Everything in Standard, plus attendance at MDT meetings, tenancy reviews and case conferences, proactive liaison with other agencies, and detailed progress reports suitable for legal proceedings or safeguarding records. Suitable for complex cases or where the referring team has limited capacity.

Not sure which tier is right? We will advise when you refer — it depends on the CIR score, risk level, and your team's capacity. Read more about coordination.

Our fees

Every situation is different. We provide tailored quotes based on the factors below — there are no hidden charges.

Clutter Image Rating (CIR) score

The severity of the hoarding, assessed using the standard CIR scale, is the primary driver of cost. Higher scores require more time, more staff, and more disposal.

Property size and access

Larger properties, multiple floors, or difficult access (no lift, narrow stairways) affect the time and resource required.

Disposal requirements

The volume and type of waste for removal affects disposal costs. We always aim to donate before disposing.

Frequency and duration

Weekly sessions over a longer programme are costed differently from an intensive short-term intervention.

Coordination tier

Standard or Enhanced Case Coordination is priced separately and added to the Hoarding & Declutter quote.

Applies to all new quotes

Coordination charge

All new quotes include a coordination charge. It is priced on the case's risk level and Clutter Image Rating (CIR) score, and clearly itemised in every quote. It covers multi-agency meetings, joint visits, phone calls and messages from the client between sessions, managing cancellations or no-answers, and the wider unseen work that keeps a case moving.

Two coordination options — your choice

Full coordination

We take on all case coordination on your behalf. This includes attending multi-agency and MDT meetings, completing joint visits, liaising with other professionals, managing missed appointments, and providing written progress reports. Suitable for cases where your team has limited capacity or where the complexity of the case warrants a dedicated coordination lead.

Part coordination

You retain the coordination lead and we contribute to it. We will attend meetings when invited, provide reports on request, and flag concerns as they arise — but the day-to-day case management remains with your team. Suitable for cases where a professional relationship is already established and our role is primarily the practical work.

The coordination charge is clearly itemised in your quote, with the option selected noted. If you are unsure which option is right for a particular case, please get in touch — we are happy to talk it through before a quote is issued.

Registered waste carrier

All waste removed from a property is disposed of legally and responsibly. We are registered with the Environment Agency as a waste carrier and always aim to donate or recycle items before resorting to landfill.
